DESCRIPTION:Join us Tuesday\, March 28\, 2023 for “Major James Sanks Brisbin: Wordsmith & Warrior” with Ryan W. Booth\, Ph.D. \nIn Dr. Booth’s presentation\, he tells us Major James Sanks Brisbin served as an officer in the Civil War and later in the US West. A staunch abolitionist as well as a noted journalist\, Brisbin’s reflections offer a glimpse into the nineteenth century through his eyes and perhaps says something for our own time. \nThis presentation is part of the Faculty Scholarship/Research Series cosponsored by The Center for Intercultural Learning and Teaching and the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs at Heritage University. All events are held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Links to the presentations will be made available via campus email prior to the event.
