SUMMARY:New Student Orientation 2021 - Part 1 (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:  \nGet Ready to Be an Eagle!\nNew Student Orientation is a series of events\, activities\, and opportunities developed to assist students and their families in transitioning to life at Heritage. During NSO\, you will explore new ideas and concepts\, learn how to get involved\, and explore ways of engaging in your collegiate experience. You will learn important information about academic policies and get the tools you need to be prepared for your first day of courses. You may even discover a new passion! Above all we hope that you will have fun and make friends that last a lifetime. \nNSO is a must for new students\, and since you pay for the event with your fees\, you should plan to attend! \nFirst\, join us virtually via Zoom on August 4 from 6-8 pm.\n\n\n\n\nThere will be a help session at 5 pm for students who have questions about getting connected.\n\n\nThis is not an optional session\, but a precursor to the in-person event on Aug 11th.\n\n\n\n\nThen\, on August 11\, meet everyone on-campus\, in-person! This event will be held both indoors and outdoors\, please dress appropriately and bring your mask.\nHeritage University plans to return to full in-person instruction for the upcoming fall 2021 semester. The plan takes into account the progress Yakima County has made towards preventing the spread of Covid-19 and the increasing number of vaccinated residents in the county. These trends have boosted our confidence that we can fully reopen campus in time for fall.  We will continue to rely on the Yakima County Health District\, as well as State and Federal authorities\, to ensure our plans are consistent with their guidance regarding current Covid-19 protocols. \nLet us know you’ll be here!
