Mr. Ausink is a Certified Physician Assistant who practices within the Yakima Valley and is a didactic professor for the PA program at Heritage University (HU). After graduating from Central Washington University with a BS in Biology and a Chemistry minor Mr. Ausink attended the Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) program at HU and worked locally as an MLS. Working as an MLS from (2011 – 2018) he specialized in Blood banking, Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis. In 2016 he returned to school at HU and graduated the PA program with honors. He currently works as a Physician Assistant within the ER as well as multiple Primary Care clinics within the Yakima area. Working at Heritage University Mr. Ausink primarily teaches Pediatrics and Clinical skills. He enjoys working with students and being a recent graduate, he feels that he can relate to the difficulties and challenges that come with PA school. He has grown up in the Yakima Valley and enjoys camping, fishing and hiking. Family life is important to him and he enjoys spending his free-time with his wife and children.
