A Taste of Soul Community Dinner flyer

Heritage University invites you to celebrate Black History Month by attending “A Taste of Soul Community Celebration” at Heritage on Thursday February 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in Smith Family Hall. This is an evening rooted in culture, connection and community. This thoughtfully curated event honors Black heritage, unity and the shared history that continues to shape us. “A Taste of Soul” will feature a catered soul food dinner by Beauchamps’ Bodacious Bistro and a special performance by Worship Warriors.

Black Excellence Poster Gallery
- Where: Virginia S. Hislop Gallery, Petrie Hall
- Description: The Black Excellence Poster Gallery showcases student-created posters honoring African American professionals who inspire them. Each student selects a Black leader—past or present—in the field they aspire to enter. Awards are given to five students whose posters demonstrate exceptional creativity, research, cultural insight, and personal reflection.

  We invite you to a culturally centered community dinner that brings students, families, faculty, and community members together in celebration of Black History Month. We carefully curated this evening to honor Black heritage, unity, and our shared history. The program will include Heritage University students Re-Speaking the words of African American heroes organized by the Student Government Association. We will also be honoring a community elder whose wisdom, activism, mentorship, or lifetime achievements have significantly contributed to the enrichment of the Black community.
