About Our Program
If you love children and want a career where you can help nurture their natural curiosity and get them excited about learning from an early age, earn your bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Heritage University!
Our Early Childhood Studies degree is for students not looking to become certified teachers but who wish to enter or advance in careers with outside agencies and programs related to early childhood education. This program helps aspiring professionals develop the knowledge, skills and leadership qualities needed to succeed at these agencies as well as when working with parents, teachers and children seeking services. You’ll learn the latest practices and Washington State Early Learning Guidelines from professors with years of experience working as teachers and administrators in P-12 education. You’ll also take courses both in the traditional classroom on campus and online. Plus, get hands-on experience in local classrooms, childcare centers and agencies with internships and volunteer opportunities with Heritage’s partner agencies.
