**Out of an abundance of caution surrounding COVID-19, this event has been postponed**
Heritage University is an institution founded by women and where women make up 70% of our student body; at Heritage, we are all about empowering women to make an impact in the world. 2020 is the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed women the right to vote. To commemorate this, we are bringing a panel of women leaders from across the state for two events which will educate and inspire our students and community.
This free lunchtime event will feature a panel discussion on civic engagement. Panelists include: Washington State Court of Appeals Judge Rebecca Pennell, student and former Campaign Manager for the Yakima County Democratic Party Sheyanne Lewis, Health Care Consultant and Heritage Board Member Gail Weaver, Nuestra Casa Executive Director and Heritage alumna Caty Padilla.
The League of Women Voters and US Census will be on site to provide voter registration resources and information about the 2020 Census.
Lunch will be provided.
