As part of the Faculty Scholarship/Research Series at Heritage University, Alexander Alexiades, Ph.D. will present “Global River Conservation and the Indigenous iNtegration of Aquatic Sciences and Traditional-Ecological-Knowlege for Undergraduate Culturally Responsive Education (I-NATURE).”
Alexiades will take us on a tour of his global river conservation research, as well as his work with indigenous groups and education initiatives in far-flung areas of the planet, ranging from Chile and Ecuador in South America, to the desert Southwest and upstate New York here in the United States, to areas as far away as China and Tibet – all leading up to his current work here at Heritage and across the Pacific Northwest.
