About
Dr. Estudillo (he/him/él) is an Associate Professor and the Chair (Director) of the Teacher Preparation Program at Heritage University. His leadership in higher education includes previous roles as a faculty member, director, acting chair, and leading community-engaged research and practices. He serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Hispanic Higher Education, Section Co-Editor for the International Journal of Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement, Editorial Review Board for the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education Journal, and most recently, the Editorial Board for the Journal of First-Generation Student Success. Dr. Estudillo is a member of the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Academic Achievement Program, Yakima Chapter (founded in 1993). He is also a recent graduate of the Leadership Yakima program, Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce. Notably, he was both a Graduate Fellow and Faculty Fellow of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education. Dr. Estudillo was born and raised in the Yakima Valley of Washington state.
