Dr. Estudillo (he/him/él) is associate professor and chair of the Teacher Preparation Program at Heritage University. His leadership in higher education includes previous roles as a faculty member, director, acting chair and leader of community-engaged research and practice initiatives.
He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Hispanic Higher Education; as section co-editor of the International Journal of Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement; on the editorial review board of the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education Journal; and on the editorial board of the Journal of First-Generation Student Success.
Dr. Estudillo previously served on the board of directors of the Hispanic Academic Achievement Program, Yakima Chapter, founded in 1993. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Yakima program through the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce.
He was both a Graduate Fellow and Faculty Fellow of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education. Dr. Estudillo was born and raised in the Yakima Valley in Washington state.
