Special Interests

Dr. Tsiligaridis's interests focus on the design, analysis and testing of innovative techniques, finding algorithmic solutions to problems and creation of s/w tools to support them. He has worked with operations research methods, operating systems, high level languages, software development tools to explore what is possible, ensuring technical depth and practical applicability. He believes that any research contribution has to open new directions for future research. In the institutions of higher education, in addition to quality teaching, he values research foundations which he believes that along with contemporary developments in the filed add value to the student experience.

Community Engagement

Reviewer of new submissions to CS conferences and first class professional journals (IEEE, ELSEVIER, etc.). Program committee Member for conferences (IASTED, IMSA, etc.). Served as Session Chair at the IEEE sponsored conference (ICC, IMSA, etc.). Supervised summer internships in IT companies and prepared student participation in REU programs Guides Computer Science summer research and participates with students at National Conferences (SACNAS, ABRCMS, INFORMS, etc.). Serves as a judge with students in Robot challenge competitions.
