Directing your gifts to meet your goals

DIRECTING YOUR GIFTS TO MEET YOUR GOALS

Charitable giving is deeply personal. The causes you choose to support, as well as the manner in which you offer that support, are a reflection of your values and priorities. When you give to Heritage University, you can direct your gift to support efforts that match your personal goals. You can choose to direct your gifts to any of our existing funds or contact us so we can work with you to build a plan that meets your specific objectives.

CREATE A LEGACY

Investing in Heritage University gives talented students an opportunity to pursue higher education.

Student Scholarships

Scholarships are critical to the success of Heritage University students. For the vast majority of our students, their degrees would be unobtainable without the scholarships that make their education affordable. You can direct your giving to support students directly by designating your funds to the Scholarship Fund. Scholarships from this fund are directed to all Heritage students with a financial need without additional qualifying criteria. If you are interested in directing your support to a specific segment of Heritage’s student body, creating a named endowed scholarship may be of interest. With a minimum commitment of $10,000, you can create a personal legacy that provides support based on the criteria you set forth, such as for students in specific majors or those who come from a particular background. Endowed scholarship funds are carefully invested, and a percentage of the balance, as determined by the board of directors, is allocated to students each year. This means your endowed scholarship will live on in perpetuity.

Heritage Fund

Giving to the Heritage Fund makes an immediate and lasting impact because these gifts provide the university the greatest flexibility to direct your support to its most critical needs. This means you can help with everything from tutoring students who need extra support, to building academic programs, to building a thriving campus with state-of-the-art learning centers and professors who are leaders in their field of study.

Emergency Fund

The economic reality of the majority of Heritage students means that minor financial hiccups can have devastating repercussions on their education. The Emergency Fund is designed to help students overcome temporary financial hardships, such as a broken down car or unexpected utility bill so that they can stay focused on their education and graduate.

University Endowment

Endowment gifts directly impact students and allow the university to build a solid financial base to ensure its stability for the next 40, 80, 200 years or more. These gifts are wisely invested. As directed by the Heritage University Board of Directors, a portion of the endowment is allocated to support the areas of greatest need on an annual basis. The endowment grows over time to ensure the university has a solid funding base to support student learning for generations.
