Fifty Puget Sound-area Eagles, and a few whoflew over the mountains, met up at Georgetown Brewing Company in April for the first event of its kind hosted by Alumni Connections.
The alums enjoyed a free dinner of gourmet Indian frybread tacos, some of the brewery’s finest suds, alumni swag, and a whole lot of laughter as they caught up with each other. “It was a great night,” said Gerardo Ruelas, class of 2007 one of the event hosts. “Many of us haven’t seen each other since we were on campus during our college days. At the end of the night, we didn’t want to leave.”
The event was such a success that organizers are planning on hosting other similar events in the upcoming year.
“We’ve heard from quite a few people that they would like to have something like this in the Yakima area,” said Anne-Marie VanRiper, alumni relations coordinator. “We are looking at some dates and locations for the fall. Stay tuned.”

Alumni Directory
Heritage University has teamed up with PCI (Publishing Concepts Inc.) to publish our first ever Heritage Alumni Directory. This unique opportunity will allow you to connect with each other and help the university verify the accuracy of our alumni data. In the coming months, PCI will be reaching out to you with ostcards, e-mails, and phone calls requesting your assistance to update your contact information. The project is expected to take place over the next 12 months with the directory being made available in May 2019.
Alumni Legacy Walk
There is still time to order your brick to be placed on the Alumni Legacy Walk. The walk was installed last fall and will be updated annually with new submissions. Your gift of just $45 secures your spot on the walk. All contributions go toward student scholarships.
Visit heritage.edu/alumni for more information on any of these opportunities.
