We want to invite you to our new Eagles Market in Simkins Hall. We welcome everyone. The only requirement is you fill out a household income survey once a year with no income verification required. Then the market can be used as often as necessary with a just quick sign-in.
We receive food from our partner, OIC, every month. The food is available to the campus community (including staff and faculty). Every item is free, and shoppers can choose what they want. We also offer grab and go snacks and a variety of bottled drinks. Some items are refrigerated and frozen foods, fresh produce, eggs, cheese, canned soups, tuna, pasta, rice, nuts, flour, vegetable oil, and oatmeal cereal.
The goal/mission of the Eagles Market is to support student success by helping them meet basic needs. Organizers do this through food assistance, nutrition education, wellness activities, directory of social service resources and other activities to promote health.
