Welcome to the Academic Skills Center (ASC)! Our mission is to provide Heritage students with free, accessible academic support. We offer college tutoring services for a wide range of subjects, as well as group study sessions and academic workshops. Heritage University students will find dedicated and friendly tutors eager to help them achieve their goals—because everyone needs support on the journey to success.

The ASC offers a number of tutoring options to fit your academic needs. During regular ASC hours, you may schedule a virtual Zoom appointment with one of our incredible college tutors.

Virtual Tutoring with ASC Staff
Get in touch with an Academic Skills Center tutor for a virtual Zoom session! Our dedicated scholars are eager to offer personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions to help you with your academic needs. These sessions are easy to schedule and can be accessed via computer or your mobile device.
To access our drop-in services, please visit the MyHeritage ASC page and log in using your HU credentials.

How to Book Your Appointment Online
To access Smarthinking online tutoring, follow the steps listed below:
- Go to MyHeritage.
- Login with your User Name and Password.
- Click the Student Services tab.
- Select the “Academic Skills Center” link on the left side of the page.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “Launch the Smarthinking Online Tutoring” link.
Once you’ve launched Smarthinking, you will gain access to the online writing center, drop-in tutoring, schedule tutoring and offline questions.
